Air Cargo Terminal No. 4 (48,000 square feet)

The Columbus Regional Airport Authority continues to secure and invest significant funds for the air cargo development area at LCK. We are fortunate to have been designated to receive federal Military Airports Program (MAP) funds and are diligent in reserving our federal Airport Improvements Program (AIP) entitlement and discretionary grants for the purpose of air cargo development. To this end, more than $20,000,000 in federal funds has been identified to facilitate commercial growth, with approximately $7,000,000 already invested. We are in the process of programming the remaining funds with heavy focus on air cargo facilities as well as corresponding apron and hydrant fueling for commercial operators. We would be very pleased to customize this investment for an operator that will commit to use the facility for a reasonable period of time. Our goal is to allow our airline partners the ability to operate from customized, state-of-the-art facilities at an unparalleled geographic location without having to invest their own capital in those facilities.

FedEx World Service Center

FedEx operates a 275,000 square foot ground and air hub as well as a regional sorting and distribution center at Rickenbacker. This facility handles a combination of domestic and international cargo flights.

Forward Air Facility

Forward Air came to Rickenbacker in 1994, and expanded operations to include a 50,000 square foot airside facility in the fall of 2000. Forward Air was already servicing many clients out on the airfield, with their trucks directly loading and unloading the cargo air carriers, and this facility gave them an airside presence. Forward Air provides scheduled transportation of cargo between airports for its customers, which include domestic and international airlines, freight forwarders and integrated freight carriers.

Total Airport Services, Inc. Facility

Total Airport Services, Inc. (TAS) is a Southern Californian based aviation support company that provides services to cargo and passenger airlines and is dedicated to providing its customers with quality customer service. TAS’ capabilities include ramp handling, into-plane fueling and passenger service both above and below the wing of aircraft.
