According to an independent study, benefits realized after the first 10 years of intermodal facility operation:

  • $660 million in transportation cost savings to shippers.
  • A reduction of 49 million truck miles in Ohio.
  • Significant reduction of emissions.

This same study showed that over the next 30 years, the new intermodal facility and resulting development will produce:

  • 9,500 direct jobs.
  • 10,900 indirect jobs.
  • 34 million additional square feet of industrial-building development.
  • $1.2 billion of building construction.
  • $1.37 billion invested in machinery and equipment.
  • $15.1 billion economic impact.
