New Way For Residents To Easily Register Noise Complaints For Rickenbacker
The Columbus Regional Airport Authority is pleased to announce a new way to report noise complaints for Rickenbacker International Airport. Residents with concerns about aircraft noise levels may register a complaint via telephone or the internet. The Noise Hotline is available 24-hours a day at (614) 239-4065. Airport Authority staff will return calls after investigating the complaint. The noise complaint website is available at www.Rickenbacker.org in the “About LCK” section under the “Noise Program” area. Complaints entered at the site will be investigated and responses from noise abatement office staff will be posted for complainants under their individual login information. Complaints are researched using the Authority’s state-of-the-art noise and flight track monitoring system that measures noise levels 24-hours a day. The noise and flight track monitoring system is linked with air traffic control radar systems, thereby allowing the Authority to monitor individual aircraft operations and minimize the noise impact on the community. The Columbus Regional Airport Authority oversees the operations of Port Columbus International, Rickenbacker International and Bolton Field airports. For more information regarding this press release, please contact Angie Neal, Supervisor of Public Affairs, at (614) 239-4081 or via email at aneal@ColumbusAirports.com.
